L'INFERNO III

Installation/Film

This passage serves as a critical metaphor for modern society, suggesting that the so called “sense of security” that people feel is often “false” - leading to numbness and obedience that ultimately fades away the free will. In extreme moments, people become passive passengers, accepting their fate and societal rules, which reflects the oppression of freedom and the blind pursuit of a “safe” and “comfortable” life.

The film critiques the psychological numbness through its trivial games, showing a deeper reflection on identity and memory. As an individual, I often struggle to express my own memories, caught in the paradox of my self-identity, as my expression os often influenced by many emotions and the nature of my memory. It leads me to question the objective of my perceptions and their connection to reality.

My recent work aims to understand and recover lost images and emotions driven by the unwillingness to let go of unresolved memories and trauma. Through capturing intimate elements from public images, mostly revolving around my childhood nightmares, I seek to redefine these moments - highlighting the fluid nature of memory shaped by time and existence seeking for deeper meaning. My pain became integral to this exploration, as I redefine and engage with my installations, fostering deeper connections through this creative journey.
